A sadly under-attended show. I believe it was meant to be 
standing, but had not sold as well as hoped, so seating was
set out. Probably better for a show like this, which, in my view,
demands attention.
It also is an example of how some concert goers can be very 
inconsiderate to those around them - in the left channel, during
the first 2-3 songs you can hear rustling. There was a guy 
chain-eating sweets and nuts from a bag. He'd done it all through
the opening act, an excellent bluegrass band and it drove me and 
my wife crazy and I wasn't even recording that. The reason the 
rustling stopped after song 3 is the guy left. 
Anyway sorry it's taken so long, but I've been working on other
shows. I hope it's been worth the wait!
I'm working on the Bela show with musicians from Mali from five
nights before this - a completely different kettle of fish, but also 
showing the humility of Bela Fleck, who in neither show needed
to be in the limelight. I got a few words with him after the Sparrow
Quartet show and he came across as a really genuine guy.
